A simpler returnables routine
- Add an asset type, such as a reusable crate, and its reference deposit value.
- Add the customer account that holds the assets. Link a verified Shopify customer when needed.
- Record an issue with the quantity, date and optional due date or order reference.
- Record returns against the customer and asset type. Oldest open issues are reduced first; a return can span several orders.
- Use an adjustment for an agreed correction or loss. A reason is required and the original journal remains visible.
- Export the ledger to CSV for your own reconciliation.
What the totals mean
Outstanding units are issued units minus recorded returns and decreases, plus increases. Overdue means an open issue has a due date before the report date. Deposit exposure uses the rate recorded with each issue, not today's default rate. It is not money collected or a refund entitlement.
Whole units only. One supported ledger currency per store, no conversion. No serial-number tracking, routing, automated refunds or checkout surcharges.
